Go to the cinema

There is only one functioning cinema in Yerevan - Moscow Cinema - which is also the oldest in the city. You can choose any of several theaters, including a 3D and 7D theatre where films are shown from 11am to late at night. Morning shows are 500 drams and in the evening, they are 1500 drams. A 3D film will cost you 2000 drams in the evening. Most major blockbusters eventually make their way to Yerevan. You can also go to a 5D cinema on Pushkin Street. It will generally cost you 2000 drams.

Sit at a café or a bar

Yerevan is really rich in open-air café. They open in May as soon as it gets warm. Cafés stretch along the entire center, often merging into each other. The most popular cafés are located near the Opera House, on Abovyan Street and along Circular Boulevard. The prices are practically the same everywhere.

Bars are popular among Yerevan youth, and there are lots of them. They are pretty lively, regardless of the day of the week or the time. Yerevan bars are mainly concentrated on Parpetsi, Pushkin, Saryan and Moskovyan Streets. They often have live music.

Go for a stroll

Nothing can be compared to strolling in warm weather. In the summer, ice cream and cold, fresh juices are sold everywhere. You can periodically stop and rest at places of interest. There are many benches near Swan Lake, with a picturesque view. The Opera House is also surrounded with benches. You can walk to English park and lie on the grass near Sundukyan Theatre. Or you can go the other way and climb up the Cascade, go to the observation deck and enjoy the magical view of Yerevan in the evening with the backdrop o Mount Ararat. If you want silence and peace, you can sit on a bench at Lovers’ Park after walking along Baghramyan Avenue. And if a festive atmosphere is what you crave, walk to Republic Square, where a light and music fountain show begins when is gets dark. When it is warm, locals stroll around till late at night. Walking around is probably the best way to fully feel the aura of the city.
