Flying is the main means of transportation to reach Armenia. There is a railroad connection with Georgia only, and buses travel to Georgia and Iran.

Citizens of all other countries must have a visa to enter the county. You can obtain a visa in one of the three ways:
1. Apply through your nearest Armenian consular service
2. Apply at the airport or other point of entry
3. Apply online via the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia www.mfa.com
Your passport must be valid for at least a month. There are four types of Armenian visas: offical, diplomatic, transit and tourist. You will probalby require the last visa. A tourist visa can be single or multiple entry and the maximum length is 120 days, which costs 15,000 drams. A 21-day visa will cost you 3000 drams and a multiple entry visa is 20,000 drams. The latter is valid for half a year and allows you to stay in Armenia for 60 days at a time.
