In Yerevan, you can choose a bar, café or restaurant to your taste, according to your funds, your mood and even the time of day. In the morning, you will be greeted by near-empty café, which gradually fill with people by lunch. Cozy restaurants in the city center are more crowded towrds the evening. If you'd like to go to a popular spot, it is best to reserve a table beforehand. Besides Causasian cuisine, which is quite popular, you'll also find a great deal of restaurants serving

European cuisine. Italian food is especially poplular. There are plenty of pizzerias in Yerevan as well as small snack bars offering local fast food. There are several Chinese resturants and sushi bars as well. You can have a coffee or tea at one of the city's quaint teahouses, or enjoy a nice cold beer at one of the many bars and pubs. Almost all snack bars and pizzerias have delivery service. The delivery price depends on how far it is from the city center, but in any case, it won't be more than 1000 drams.

Yerevan locals do not go out for breakfast much, so only a few places specialize in breakfast and they open rather late. For lunch, though, your options are endless. Many restaurants offer unique lunch specials. Restaurants, cafés and teahouses close sometime around midnight, whereas bars are open until the last visitor leave. There are only a few 24-hour establisments.

There aren't too many buffets or self-service eateries. There are a few cafeteria-style lunch places. Almost every restaurant in the center has English menus and English-spealing staff. At the end of your meal, your server will bring you the bill in a cup or folder. Be sure to wait for change if you need it. You should leave the tip in the same cup of folder. Although many establishments include service in the bill, you can stll leave a 10 to 15 percnt tip for you server.
